Reading is a Great way to Explain the importance of taking care of your teeth

We love reading books about dental health with kids. Reading illustrated books is a great way to explain complicated concepts to even the youngest child. We shared a few of our favorite books about teeth a few years back and decided it was time to add more great books to the list.

We are very proud to share that our own Dr. Loar is a published author! His book, Sugar Bugs, teaches kids how cavities form and importantly how to prevent them.

“Growing up I did not visit the dentist often for cleanings and prevention. I didn’t understand how we got cavitiesĀ or the importanceĀ of good oral hygiene. I wanted to write Sugar Bugs to give kids everywhere the opportunity to learn about the importance of their oral health and make sure they didn’t go through the struggles I did growing up.”
